American Cosmetics Manufacturers Association

In recent years, the cosmetic industry has established a significant presence in the international market, evolving into a vast and prosperous commercial sector. Major cosmetic manufacturers increasingly seek to align themselves with a reputable association that can offer quality assurance, specialized knowledge, commitment, reliability, dedication, and superior service.

The American Cosmetic Manufacturers Association (ACMA) is an international leader in verifying quality management practices among U.S. cosmetic manufacturers. ACMA was established in response to numerous requests from leading cosmetic producers and is authorized to issue the following certificates:

  • Certificate of Free Sale (CFS): A document required by most countries for product importation.
  • Good Manufacturing Practice Certificate (GMP): certificate verifying that products are consistently manufactured and controlled according to quality standards.
  • Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy Certificate (BSE/TSE): certificate confirming that products are free from materials derived from animals at risk of transmissible spongiform encephalopathies.

ACMA supports its members in standardizing their products to facilitate exportation with minimal cost, effort, and time. The association has dedicated staff committed to streamlining the export process for U.S. cosmetic products worldwide, which remains their primary objective.

Our association holds the registered trademark "American Cosmetic Manufacturers Association," which was issued and registered by the USPTO in January 2011.
Therefore, if you are a cosmetic manufacturer, all you need is a trusted and well-recognized organization to validate your company through the issuance of these certificates, thereby enabling you to expand your market reach into other countries. Read More
